STAUNTON, Va. (WVIR) - The clang of the hammer and the heat of the forge were on full display Saturday at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton. The museum hosted its annual 'Hammer-In', a festival of blacksmithing and metal-working.

The day-long event featured demonstrations of smithing techniques, as well as multiple vendors selling home-forged goods like tools and knives.

It also featured a forging contest open to the public with professional judges and prizes going to the best-forged items.
