Chan Bryant Elected Albemarle County's First Female Sheriff
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Current Chief Deputy Chan Bryant will be Albemarle County's next sheriff. Bryant won Tuesday night after receiving 60% of the vote.
She has worked in the sheriff's office for two decades. With Tuesday night's win, Bryant will become the county's first-ever female sheriff.
"I been out knocking on doors since March and I knocked on over 8,000 doors and met the voters of Albemarle County and today I just want to thank them for coming out and voting,” said Bryant.
Bryant beat independent candidate Ronnie Roberts.
