Albemarle High School running back Ebenezer McCarthy is the Falcon Club Player of the week.

"I couldn't have done it without the o-line. They kept telling me keep going. I was very tired the whole time. I was out of breath. They could see that I was tired. I did not want to get up, but they kept lifting me up," says McCarthy.

McCarthy had 30 carries Friday night. He rushed for 250 yards in a 27-23 win over Charlottesville High School.

"I think it says a lot about his character. I'm proud to coach him. His linemen are proud to block for him. I think it says a lot about these guys and how they feel about each other. I think it helps and shows the way they play together," says head coach Brandon Isaiah.
