Charlottesville City Council Reviews Plan to Turn Starr Hill Neighborhood into Commercial, Residential Space
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - On Monday night, the New Hill Development Corporation presented a plan to the city council to turn the Starr Hill neighborhood into a commercial and residential space. Most of the plan would redevelop city yard, a roughly 10-acre public works lot off Preston Avenue near Downtown.
The city would incorporate the plans into its Comprehensive Plan. Developers say the project could bring in hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars of investment.
