CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A Charlottesville mental health organization is giving back to the community by giving people affordable options for clothes and other items.

On Our Own of Charlottesville is opening a thrift store on Concord Avenue in the Rose Hill neighborhood. The nonprofit got a one-time funding offer from the state to do something that would help infrastructure.

"To be able to do something that focuses on possible employment skills, and also giving folks things that they might not have been able to purchase, it just feels like an extension of what we're already doing, which is helping people," said Erin Tucker, On Our Own of Charlottesville.

The group will start accepting donations at the end of the week. The store is set to open by the start of December.
