Young Girls from Charlottesville Rehearse for the 'Princess for a Day Fashion Show'
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - An organization aimed at empowering young women is helping girls in the Charlottesville area boost their self-esteem.
Coressa Williams runs Princess for a Day where she teaches girls ages three to sixteen etiquette, poise, and self-love. Once a month, young girls from Charlottesville rehearse for the 'Princess for a Day Fashion Show' which happens in April.
Williams says every young girl deserves to feel like a princess for a day and to have the confidence they can achieve anything. "Somebody may say 'well, you're not good enough to be in this club'. Yes, I am because I was told that I'm beautiful and that I’m wonderful and I can do and I can be anything that I want to.”
Princess for a Day is also hosting a Christmas drive for families in need. If you would like to apply for your children to receive Christmas gifts, you can click here.
