The Louisa County teenager missing for more than a week is safe and her alleged abductor is in custody.

Virginia State Police say 14-Year-Old Isabel Hicks and 33-year-old Bruce Lynch were stopped in Caroline County Wednesday night.

Multiple localities spent parts of the last nine days searching for Hicks and Lynch.  Hicks originally went missing in the early morning hours of October 21 at her home in Bumpass with her mother's ex-boyfriend, Lynch.

After a week of searching, police expanded their search efforts to the Montpelier area of Hanover County this week after the pair were spotted Monday night. Hicks and Lynch were stopped after a pursuit in Caroline County on Wednesday night where Lynch was taken into custody and Hicks appeared to be unharmed.
