Missing Louisa Teen Isabel Hicks Found Safe, Bruce Lynch in Custody
The Louisa County teenager missing for more than a week is safe and her alleged abductor is in custody.
Virginia State Police say 14-Year-Old Isabel Hicks and 33-year-old Bruce Lynch were stopped in Caroline County Wednesday night.
Multiple localities spent parts of the last nine days searching for Hicks and Lynch. Hicks originally went missing in the early morning hours of October 21 at her home in Bumpass with her mother's ex-boyfriend, Lynch.
After a week of searching, police expanded their search efforts to the Montpelier area of Hanover County this week after the pair were spotted Monday night. Hicks and Lynch were stopped after a pursuit in Caroline County on Wednesday night where Lynch was taken into custody and Hicks appeared to be unharmed.
Officials from the Louisa County Sheriff's Office say they will hold a briefing on Thursday with more details.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is happy to report that the vehicle with Isabel Hicks and Bruce Lynch was located and stopped in Caroline County after a pursuit. Bruce Lynch was taken into custody and Isabel Hicks was located and appears unharmed.
A press conference will be scheduled for tomorrow, details to follow in the morning.
