Officials Release New Photo as Search Expands for Missing Louisa Co. Teen
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Investigators are expanding their search for a missing Louisa teen and the man she's believed to be with.
14-year-old Isabel Hicks has been missing since last Monday. She's believed to be with her mother's ex-boyfriend 33 year old Bruce Lynch Junior.
On Wednesday, investigators said the pair has not been spotted since Monday, but officials are getting new leads. The search will continue in parts of Montpelier as well as other areas outside this town.
Tact teams have canvassed several miles worth of terrain off Clazemont Road after Isabel Hicks and Bruce Lynch Junior were spotted Monday night. Investigators say they've combed through the dense wilderness, checked garages, barns and other areas of people's property to see if the pair was hiding out.
“We're still receiving tips and leads from other areas as well. If they've left this area we still want to keep it as broad as we can," said Chuck Love of the Louisa County Sheriff's Office. "We've tried to push this out in multiple states, so now that he's seen the response that can be pulled together in this short amount of time we're worried that he may try to leave this area."
U.S. Marshals have also joined in this search, however investigators would not say specifically if they believe the pair is now out of Virginia. A new rendered photo of Lynch's new appearance was also released to the public since investigators say he is now clean shaven.
