UVA Appoints Longo Assoc. Vice President for Safety and Security
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A former Charlottesville police chief, who is already serving as the interim police chief at the University of Virginia, has a new job.
Tim Longo will now serve as the associate vice president for safety and security. The position was created following the white supremacists events in Charlottesville in 2017.
Gloria Graham, who held the position since April 2018, has resigned effective Friday.

Associate Vice President for Safety and Security Gloria Graham has given notice of her resignation, which will become effective November 1.
The university has benefited greatly from Ms. Graham’s leadership and deeply appreciates the time and commitment she invested in her role.
The duties of the Associate Vice President for Safety and Security will be carried out by Interim Chief of Police Tim Longo.
