CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A plan to bring more affordable housing units to the city is coming into focus. On Tuesday, the Charlottesville Planning Commission held a preliminary discussion for phase two of the South First Street Project.

The project aims to bring more than 100 new housing units as well as several outdoor recreational facilities. Some of those working on the project say they are happy with the positive feedback from the commission and are glad residents had input.

On December 10, those who worked on the project will present their plans to the city council.
