CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The rest of the country is about to get to know about the work of a Charlottesville teenager. Charlottesville activist and writer Zyahna Bryant is one of Teen Vogue's 21 Under 21 for 2019.

The magazine highlights the work of young people it says are changing the world. At 15-years-old, Bryant started a campaign to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville.

Now a first-year student at the University of Virginia, Bryant was also appointed last month to the Virginia African American Advisory Board
