Crozet Advisory Committee Supports Expansion Project to Combat Overcrowding
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - The Crozet Advisory Committee says something needs to be done about overcrowding in some area schools.
On Wednesday night, the CAC signed off on a resolution supporting an expansion project at Crozet Elementary. It says the Albemarle County Long Range Planning Committee started recommending expanding the school back in 2006, but that has yet to be funded.
The committee believes the expansion could help alleviate overcrowding at both Crozet and Brownsville elementary schools. The resolution urges the school board and Board of Supervisors to fund the project as part of their five year Capital Improvement Plan.
