Charlottesville Travel Agency Collecting Coats for Refugees
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A travel agency in Charlottesville is collecting coats to help keep refugees and other members of the international community warm this winter.
Peace Frogs Travel/Outfitters is holding a coat drive at its location in the Millmont Shopping Center. The travel agency is asking people to donate new or gently-worn coats of all sizes.
“We have a real connection with the international community, and there's a huge international community that lives in Charlottesville and has some significant needs. So it's our way for our clients to kind of give back locally,” said Julie Arbelaez, Peace Frogs Travel/Outfitters.
Peace Frogs will also donate $3 for every coat donated.
The coats will be given out during an event hosted by International Neighbors on October 24.
