SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) - Police in West Virginia have apprehended a suspect in connection with a Shenandoah County death investigation.

The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office announced Friday, October 4, that Larry Johnson Little Jr. had turned himself in to authorities without incident in Lewisburg, WV around noon.

The body of 42-year-old Melanie Rose Little was found with gunshot wounds in her home in the 400-block of Deloris Road sometime Tuesday, October 2.

Little, 44, was initially labeled a person of interest, but is now considered a suspect. Authorities had issued a warrant for second-degree murder earlier Friday.

The sheriff stated that he expects Little to be extradited back to Shenandoah County.
