VSP Investigating Crash Involving a Vehicle Striking Louisa Co. Fire Station

LOUISA CO., Va. - On September 29, 2019 (Sunday) at approximately, 5:13 p.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash at Fire Station 2 located at 201 East First Street.
The trooper's preliminary investigation reveals that a 2015 Ford Escape, driven by, Betty T. Miller, 76, of Mineral, Va. was traveling southbound on Zachary Taylor and was turning left onto East First Street, rolled through the stop sign, and struck the fire station building. Miller had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Miller was wearing her seat belt and was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Extensive damage was done to the building in addition to a EMS Ford Explorer, and a 20 foot trailer. No other injuries were reported.
A medical emergency is being considered a possible factor into the cause of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
