CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - DMV Connect will be in Charlottesville on Monday to help save drivers time and headaches.

The offshoot of the DMV's Mobile DMV program has been bringing services to community centers, college campuses, and more for almost a decade. DMV Connect will be at CitySpace in downtown Charlottesville all day on Monday.

The pop-up offers most of the services of brick-and-mortar DMV locations, including issuing driver's licenses and ID cards as wells as vehicle titling and registration. You can also apply for a Real ID at the DMV Connect, which will be required for domestic air travel by October of next year.

"The mission of the DMV is to provide safe, secure documents and everything else and it's the same thing we're going to provide with Connect," said Russel Love of DMV Connect. "We're just making it easier for people who don't have a DMV close by or to have to drive an hour to the local office."

The only thing Connect teams can't offer is learner's permit and driver's license testing and vital records services. DMV Connect is at various locations throughout Virginia four days out of the week.
