CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia football team is ranked 18th in the nation in the latest AP Top 25 football poll.

That's the Cavaliers highest ranking since 2007, when they peaked at No. 16.

UVa (4-0) is off to its best start since 2004, when the Wahoos opened the season with five-consecutive wins.

The team started this season unranked, but they moved into the poll at No. 25 in Week Three, and jumped up to No. 21 following the win against Florida State.

Virginia will be back in action on the road next Saturday, when they travel to face No. 10 Notre Dame (2-1) in South Bend.

That game will air on NBC29 at 3:30 pm.
