CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A new art gallery is opening in Charlottesville and it's in a unique place. The Gallery at Six Hundred West Main is giving people a look inside.

The building, which is still under construction, will mainly be residential but has artwork placed on walls and in common areas for people to view.

Friday the developers are hosting a night of art with guests.

"So when we started designing the building, it made sense ascetically for me to leave room for artists and artwork and then it just really took off from there,” said Design Director Ivy Nate.

The curators say they have more than 60 pieces of artwork from all over the country. The pieces inside the building are made from different types of media.
