ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - On Monday night, community members gathered at Western Albemarle High School to learn more about the Crozet Master Plan which acts as a guiding principle for all development in Crozet and provides ideas for improvement.

The new master plan will be an update to the 2010 plan. It will guide land use, transportation, and development in western Albemarle County for the next ten to 20 years.

“When you have 150 people who feel passionate about their community, they want things to be better than they are and they want to preserve the things that they love about this place and going around group-to-group I heard lots of great concerns,” said Supervisor Ann Mallek.

The county plans to hold one community workshop each month now through November, as well as pop-up meetings and drop in-office hours. The goal is for the revision to be ready for review and adoption in December of 2020.
