ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A Western Albemarle High School student is making sure everyone who wants to dress up as someone else for Halloween has the chance. Liliah Barber started the charity ‘Costumes 4 Kids’ three years ago in hopes of making a difference.

She goes around to different schools and collects old costumes, cleans them up and then gives them back out to children in the community. The idea came from her personal love for the holiday and the want to give others the same experience.

"My mom used to work in schools and she would talk about how on Halloween when the kids got to wear their costumes - some wouldn't come in wearing costumes and they wouldn't be able to go trick-or-treating. It was always my favorite so I figured we could fix that,” said Barber.

The goal is to give out close to 300 costumes. Barber also accepts adult costumes.
