CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - One Charlottesville nonprofit is giving the YMCA Early Learning Center a makeover this weekend and hopes to be done by Labor Day. Volunteers with the Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) are spending the weekend helping to paint six classrooms, a hallway, and lobby.

This is the second-weekend volunteers are working to paint the space. One volunteer is a professional painter.

“Well, there is a little bit of an order to painting.  Basically I just tell them what the best order is, you know 'cut in first, I'll come up behind and roll' and that's what these people are doing right here,” said Karen Kocik, volunteer painter.

BGF has a longstanding relationship with the YMCA and has done several other projects with the organization.
