CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A workshop in Charlottesville is teaching people how to make their very own books and print designs.

The Virginia Center for the Book hosted its end-of-the-summer Wayzgoose event for book artists and community members at the Jefferson School Saturday, August 24.

The event featured letterpress printing, book binding demonstrations, a roundtable discussion, and a reception.

"I think we really value the time and craft that goes into making books, and doing letterpress printing, and wanting to share that with the community. It is something that's very traditional craft and skill set, and it's only increasingly hard to find and we really treasure being able to have access to these resources, and this talent pool here in central Virginia and want to share that," said Sarah Lawson.

The Virginia Center for the Book has classes all year long.
