UVA Men's Soccer Beats Villanova 3-1 in Exhibition
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The University of Virginia men's soccer team beat Villanova Tuesday morning 3-1 in an exhibition game.
Villanova scored the first goal and led 1-0 at halftime.
Virginia then got a goal from Nathaniel Crofts on a penalty kick after Daryl Dike was tripped in the box.
Minutes later, Virginia got a goal on a corner kick. Henry Kessler headed it in.
Virginia then added its final goal in the 82nd minute on a Jarren Nixon Jr. penalty kick
Virginia plays its final exhibition game Saturday at home against Drexel at 7pm.
The Cavaliers' regular season opener is Friday, August 30th against Pacific.
