Charlottesville Court Appoints New Attorney for Mother Accused of Murdering Child
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A mother accused of killing her own child was back in Charlottesville Circuit Court Thursday morning.
Twenty-six-year-old Nydia Love Lee is charged with second-degree murder. She appeared briefly before a judge Thursday, August 15.
Lee is accused of killing her 20-month-old child during the commission of child abuse on January 10, however authorities believe the death was accidental.
Thursday, the judge appointed Mike Hallahan to be Lee’s new attorney. Additionally, a bond hearing is now scheduled for September 5.
