CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - While it is hot outside, some children are working to put on a production of Frozen Jr. in Charlottesville. A special theater tech camp from DMR Adventures has let 6th through 12th graders spend the past week learning about technical theater.

Students got a chance to try their hand at lighting, building sets, making props, and putting together the show.

“They pulled a lot of props. They worked with Kayla to make the costumes, fit people for them. They worked with Tony, the director, to figure out what his idea was and then they put their own spin on things,” said Connor Wells, stage manager DMR Adventures.

DMR Adventures offers several similar camps throughout the summer. Leaders there said they hope to encourage children to get this hands-on experience.
