ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A park in Albemarle County will soon have some new upgrades. Starting Monday, crews will start repaving the roads and the parking lots at Darden Towe Park.

This is the first phase of the two-part, $700,000 project, which will run through the beginning of October. In September, the park will be evaluated to ensure it has the proper Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

"All of the parks are evaluated for parking and asphalt needs on a regular basis and so we have sort of an ongoing maintenance program to make sure that we're the asphalt condition in all the parks is meeting our user’s needs,” said Emily Kilroy, Albemarle County spokesperson.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
