BURLINGTON, VT - A pizza delivery driver in Vermont said he was "freaking out" for a while after hitting a goose waddling across the road.

After hitting the animal, he was shocked to see the goose alive and stuck in his car's grille.

After making calls to several law enforcement and rescue agencies, a volunteer for a non-profit was first on the scene to help the bird.

However, even she soon realized the rescue required assistance, so they called 911.

Eventually, the bird was removed and taken to a wildlife rehabber, who said it'll make a full recovery, but does have a broken pelvis.
