General Assembly's Gun Control Session Ends Without Decision, Sen. Kaine Weighs-In
Senator Tim Kaine is frustrated by the inaction from the General Assembly on gun control measures. The special session ended quickly on Tuesday, July 9, without any decisions.
"I saw in the aftermath of the horrible tragedy at Virginia Tech when I was governor. My republican legislature would work with me on mental health issues, they would work with me on campus safety protocol, they'd work with me on information sharing, but what they wouldn't work with me on was common-sense gun safety measures,” said Kaine.
Kaine believes voters will remember this when they head back to the polls in November.
