ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - On Wednesday, Albemarle supervisors unanimously endorsed the Jefferson Area Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The plan aims to make conditions for bike riders safer and better connect the city of Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the University of Virginia.

"Really the borders don't direct how people live their lives and neither should our transportation network so that’s a big win for us all,” said Peter Krebs, with Piedmont Environmental Council.

Supervisors will discuss funding for the plan at a future meeting.
