07/02/2019 Release from Charlottesville:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Alliance for Black Male Achievement and Light House Studio are looking for talented black men in the Charlottesville area to feature in their documentary focused on changing the narrative of young black men.

Last year, the Charlottesville Alliance for Black Male Achievement and Light House Studio collaborated with Clarence Green and four black Charlottesville High School filmmakers to create a documentary that aimed to expose young black men to positive black role models in the Charlottesville community.

This documentary featured interviews with black community leaders telling their personal stories and how they achieved success despite obstacles in their lives.

This documentary has received raved reviews and was accepted into two film festivals.

This year, the goal of the documentary is to tell the stories of young black men in the Charlottesville area and showcase their multitudes of talents.

The Charlottesville Alliance for Black Male Achievement is asking the community to reach out to Daniel Fairley, Youth Opportunity Coordinator for the City of Charlottesville with any recommendations of young black men that should be featured in this film.
