ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - The Jefferson Lodge No. 20 of the 22nd Masonic District, celebrated its 150th anniversary on Sunday. Mount Zion First African Baptist Church in Charlottesville held a special service for the occasion and to celebrate Saint John the Baptist Day. Other lodges in the area also came out to show support.

"The masons right now are involved with making donations into the boys and girls club, we're also involved in doing the winter months, anybody that's sick and in we go about and understand if they need kind of assistance we are there to support them," said LeRoy Steadley, worship master.

The Jefferson Lodge is the oldest lodge in the Charlottesville area. Right now, it has about 40 members.
