CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Wednesday night was Week Two in the Jefferson Swim League, and the first scoring meet of the season.

Our camera is out at Boar's Head Sports Club for their meet against Forest Lakes, but there were no swimmers in the pool.

The start of the meet was delayed due to lightning, so everyone had to make their way inside.

They were still having a lot of fun, and the meet would eventually get underway.

There are eighteen teams, and close to 2,900 swimmers in the JSL this season.

The league holds meets every Wednesday night throughout the summer, with the championship meet on July 26th and 27th at UVa's Aquatic & Fitness Center.

Fairview has won five-consecutive Jefferson Swim League championships, and twenty-seven of the last twenty-eight.
