Settlement Reached in Lawsuit Against Former Dave Matthews Band Member
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The federal civil lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct against former Dave Matthews Band violinist Boyd Tinsley is being settled.
Attorneys for both sides filed notice of settlement Monday, June 10, but it does not include any details of what that agreement is.
James Winn accused Tinsley of "creepy, sex-based behavior." Winn played trumpet in the band Crystal Garden, which was created by Tinsley. All evidence in this case, which attorneys previously said would include test messages, emails, contracts and payment records, had to be filed by Friday, June 7.
Winn's attorney, Stephanie Henderson Stocker, offered the following statement to NBC29:
"We are pleased that the matter has been resolved. The terms of the agreement are private between the parties and I thus cannot comment further."
