ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A popular home-organization book is inspiring people in Albemarle County to ditch the clutter in the homes. On Saturday, the Northside Library held a special program to teach people the philosophies of ‘The Art of Swedish Death Cleaning’ by Margareta Magnusson.

The book explains why de-cluttering can help people who are approaching the end of their lives.

“I just think it’s really important to think about your family. To think about things that you may not want your family to have to deal with. You could have a letter, you could have photos, you could have journals that you really need to dispose of before the end of your life,” said Margarete Gillette, reference specialist at Northside Library.

If you'd like to learn more, multiple copies of ‘The Art of Swedish Death Cleaning’ are available for checkout at any of the Jefferson Madison Regional libraries.
