Rock Bands are Rolling into Charlottesville for the Annual Rawk Fest
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - IX Art Park in Charlottesville is packed with rock and roll fans on Sunday. Hundreds are rolling through Charlottesville to dance and rock during Memorial Day Weekend for the annual Rawk Fest. Some of the featured bands included Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, and Saving Abel.
“It's just been incredible, it's incredible and the house is packed right now and everyone is in there singing along to every song, seeing people they've never seen before but they've been listening to them almost their whole life, it's an incredible feeling,” said Chris Gallagher, director of Rawk Fest.
Rawk Fest continues on Monday at 4 p.m. at IX Art Park. Bands featured on Monday will be primarily from around Virginia and the Charlottesville area.
