Marquette's Sam Hauser is Transferring to Virginia
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Former Marquette basketball player Sam Hauser says he will transfer to Virginia for his senior season.
Sam Hauser averaged over 15 points and seven rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles last season.
The 6-foot-8 forward was a second-team All Big East selection last year.
He would have to redshirt next season, and have one year of eligibility remaining with the Cavaliers.
Hauser and his younger brother, Joey, were seen as a package deal after announcing their decision to leave Marquette, but it appears they will be going their separate ways.
Joey Hauser is reportedly heading to Michigan State.
UVa rising senior Mamadi Diakite has until Wednesday to decide if he will keep his name in the NBA Draft, or return to school.
