CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Changes could soon be coming for trick-or-treaters in the city of Charlottesville.

On Monday, May 20, Police Chief RaShall Brackney asked City Council to repeal a city ordinance that prohibits trick-or-treating by anyone over the age of 12 on Halloween night.

It also established a special curfew hour of 10 p.m. on Halloween night for trick-or-treating.

City councilors will vote on the ordinance at their next meeting in June.
