KESWICK, Va. (WVIR) - Some four-legged friends took over the Keswick Hunt Club for the 35th annual Eastminster Dog Show on Wednesday evening.

Dozens of dogs and their owners took part in the annual event on Wednesday, May 15.

Pups could compete in several different contests, including the costume class, agility class, and best rescue class.

Organizers say it’s been heartwarming to see the show grow over the last three decades.

“It has been so wonderful,” Virginia Semmes, the event’s founder, said. “I am so proud of it because from a little tiny neighborhood thing, it’s gotten to be very important in Keswick."

All the money donated will help animals at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
