GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - After months of debate, Greene County leaders have officially approved a budget for the next fiscal year.

On Tuesday, May 14, the Greene County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the county's $94.7 million 2020 fiscal budget.

The budget includes the largest real estate tax increase the county has seen in a decade.

The real estate tax will increase from 77 cents to 82 cents per $100 of assessed value.
