CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - It’s crunch time for candidates in several contested races as we are now less than a month away from June's Democratic primary.

On Tuesday, May 14, the five Democratic candidates vying for a seat on Charlottesville City Council squared off in a forum at Jackson Via Elementary.

Much of Tuesday night’s discussion, hosted by several neighborhood associations, focused on affordable housing.

The Democratic candidates are set to appear in several more forums before the primary election on June 11.
