Charlottesville Group Kicks Off National Police Week
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - National Police Week kicked off on Monday, May 13, and Charlottesville's Fraternal Order of Police is celebrating the occasion.
The group hosted its monthly dinner and meeting Monday night, and invited the public to join this time.
Members and supporters of law enforcement came out to learn more about the fraternal order.
The event was followed by a police candle-lit vigil.
The area’s chapter serves the Charlottesville-Albemarle region and is part of the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers.
