CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Over the weekend, people in Charlottesville will be able to enjoy some laughs for a good cause.

On Saturday, April 20, The BridgeLine will hold its seventh annual comedy night.

The Charlottesville-based nonprofit provides rehabilitation services and housing for adults recovering from brain injuries.

Organizers say the event is a way to help its patients bond with the community.

“Raise a little bit of money, have the people that we serve come out and have a good time, and have the community come out to a fun event and to help support us and funding some of those services that aren't covered by other funding sources,” Leigh Wion, who’s with The BridgeLine, said.

The show kicks off at C'Ville Coffee at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
