Charlottesville Police Department Press Release:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- On April 16, 2019, at approximately 0048 hours, officers responded to the area of Trailridge Road and Shamrock Road in the Johnson Village neighborhood for the report of someone breaking into vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers located a car with its interior light on. The owner of the vehicle stated money had been stolen from her center console.
About an hour later, officers initiated a foot pursuit with a suspect known to be wanted on an outstanding capias from Rockingham County. During a search incident to arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of stolen items from different vehicles. 
Tyriq Antionous Bullock, a 20-year-old male, and resident of Charlottesville was charged with both petit and grand larceny.
The Charlottesville Police Department has responded to more than 10 reports of vehicle larcenies in the Johnson Village neighborhood within the last two weeks. CPD is reminding citizens to lock the doors to their vehicles and to never leave valuables inside them.
