CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - One of the Democrats seeking the nomination for the 57th Delegate seat being vacated by David Toscano is pulling ahead in fundraising.

Sally Hudson already had a lot of support and more than $131,000 on January 1 of this year. Now, Hudson has more than $112,000 available.

Meanwhile, Kathy Galvin has raised about $19,6000 since starting from scratch at the beginning of the year.

While Galvin, Wes Bellamy, and Mike Signor are not seeking re-election to City Council, the race for their seats is heating up. Candidates still have until June 11 to file and announce their bid, but the Democratic primary is already set as five candidates work to raise funds.
