CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Tom Tom Festival is in full swing in Charlottesville.

Thursday, April 11, marked the eighth annual crowd-funded pitch night, during which 10 area entrepreneurs each got three minutes to pitch their ideas to a live audience.

Those in attendance then voted for the ideas likely to be the most successful.

Thursday night’s big winner was Babylon Micro-Farms, a Charlottesville start-up that creates hydroponic systems that allow customers to grow their own produce quickly and efficiently.
