Brianna Tinsley Leaving UVA Women's Basketball for JMU
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Former St. Anne's-Belfield basketball star Brianna Tinsley is leaving the Virginia women's basketball team, and she will transfer to JMU.
Tinsley was originally committed to the Dukes in high school, but switched to the Cavaliers after head coach Kenny Brooks left James Madison for Virginia Tech.
Tinsley played two seasons at Virginia, and started in 55 games.
The 5-foot-7 guard scored a career-high 19-points three times this season, and finished second on the team in assists.
She will have two years of eligibility remaining at JMU.
