UPDATE: Names Released in Louisa County Murder-Suicide
LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - UPDATE: 04/10/2019
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the the two people involved in a reported murder-suicide in Louisa County.
One male, 60-year-old Thomas Wayne Butler, and one female, 56-year-old Janet Elaine Butler, were found dead inside a home on the 2900 block of James Madison High way on Tuesday.
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported murder-suicide.
Deputies responded to a home on the 2900 block of James Madison Highway around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. Inside, they found the bodies of a 60-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman.
Authorities are withholding the names of the two people until surviving family members are notified.
04/09/2019 Release from the Louisa County Sheriff's Office:
On April 9, 2019 at approximately 10:28 a.m. Louisa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an address on James Madison Highway for a reported murder-suicide.
When deputies arrived they were able to make entry into the home and located a 60-year-old male and a 56-year-old female deceased in the residence. Names of the deceased are being withheld at this time until next of kin notification.
At this time this is still an active investigation.
