CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - NBC29 has been honored with several Virginias Associated Press awards.

They were handed out over the weekend of April 6 at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.

The station took home honors that include first place for best reporter, light feature, and newscast.

In total, the NBC29 team won 19 Virginias AP awards.

NBC29's Matt Talhelm was honored four times, and Henry Graff and Mike Shiers also received reporting awards.
