The twenty-fifth annual Zeta Tau Alpha Run for Life 5k kicked off at the University of Virginia's Nameless Field.

Students dressed up in crazy outfits for the fun-run which raised money for breast cancer research and education.

"I think it really raises a lot of awareness, people coming out to run for a cause, we have a lot of survivors that come out and run in the race,” said Emily Spangler, race director.

In previous years, the race helped raise more than $30,000.
