CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Charlottesville Housing Advisory Committee (HAC) is fine tuning a tool to help solve the city's housing crisis.

During its regular meeting Wednesday, March 20, the committee discussed how to improve an IAT: a spreadsheet HAC Chairman Phil d'Oronzio says could give city officials a better idea of the cost of housing.

“At present, what is going to happen is it’s going to staff and some members of the HAC are going to more fully fine tune it. Our idea is to look forward to the next budget cycle to make it more integrated there,”

The IAT tool was introduced at the joint session between the Housing Advisory Committee and City Council in January.

Next, the IAT will be updated with data about how the budget process works to help integrate it into the next budget cycle.
